South West monsoon further advances, covers Ahmedabad, parts of North Gujarat

Ahmedabad: As per the Indian Meteorological Department(IMD) website, South West monsoon of this year has further advances in Gujarat. Since 26 June the monsoon coverage was steady, but now as on 3 July it has gone up in northern areas and covered the city of Ahmedabad and parts of North Gujarat. Normally monsoon should cover entire Gujarat by 15 June but still Kutch and parts of North Gujarat are yet not covered. IMD today said: Conditions favorable for further advance of monsoon into remaining parts of north Arabian Sea, Gujarat and Rajasthan in next 48 hours.
