Centre gives nod for gas pipeline network in Panchmahal district

Gandhinagar: Gujarat is leading state in terms of usage of gas for home usage and for vehicle. India has around 31.60 lakh PNG home usage consumers of gas of which 48% or 15 lakh are in Gujarat. India has 1056 CNG stations of which 34% or 360 CNG stations are in Gujarat thanks to then Chief Minister and present Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.

Continuing the progress in this field Petroleum National Gas Regulatory Board of Government of India has granted permission to Gujarat govt arm Gujarat Gas Ltd to lay gas pipeline in Panchmahal district of central Gujarat for home usage gas connections. This decision will among others benefit the tribal population of Panchmahal district and realize Shri Modi’s dream of Rurbanization.

3,304 square km area of 7 talukas and 60 villages with more than 5,000 population will be covered under this pipeline network benefiting 16.42 lakh population in total and 3.04 lakh housing units. The network will also benefit small and medium scal industries in Panchmahal district including the industrial units in Halol. It will trigger industrial development and therefore employment generation.

Town/villages that are to be covered under this network are Shahera, Anjad, Sajivav, Nandarva, Sureli, Mangaliyana, Khojalvasa, Nada Mataria Vas, Padardi, Dhamnod, Vaghjipur, Guneli, Boriya, Morva Hadaf, Sagvada, Agarvada, Rajayta, Bhandoi, Vandeli, Vadodara, Rampur, Metaria Vejma, Monjri, Rasulpur, Natapur, Saliya, Mora, Suliyat, Godhra, Sampa, Bodidra Bunjarg, Ratanpur, Kankanpur, Orwada Moti Kantdi, Ambli, Bhamiya, Mirap, Golav, Nadisar, Dhanitra, Kalol, Pingli, Bedhiya, Delol, Bakrol, Adadr, Eral, Karoli, Vejalpur, Ghodhamba, Kanpur, Kharod, Palla, Simaliya, Vav Kulli, Halol, Talavadi, Shivrajpur, Sathrota, Kanjari, Jambughoda.
