July 18, 2016
Palanpur: A youth in Danta town of north Gujarat has caught between love and faith.
A youth Sanjay from Navavas in Danta town was in love with Muslim girl. Parents of girls told Sanjay that their marriage would only be possible if Sanjay adopts Muslim faith. Sanjay was told that he would have to go to Namaz, he will have to observe Roja and will need to wear Muslim dress. If this is done, he would be allowed to marry Muslim girl only after three years.
As Sanjay agreed to do this, and also got himself clicked in Muslim dress, his father opposed his decision and filed complaint in Danta police station against Idrish Abdulbhai, Arif Abdhulbhai, Mustak Allarakhkhabhai, Ishaq Nasir Master and Allarakhkhabhai under religious conversion act section 4, alleging religious conversion by force, issuance of threats and attack.
In light of this development, Sanjay later refused to adopt Muslim faith. In response of this, the relatives of girl filed police complaint against Sanjay for kidnapping and rape.
