August 19, 2016
Ahmedabad: BJP national president Amit Shah today planed a tree in his assembly constituency area Naranpura in Ahmedabad. Shah in his address recalled the days when he,present city Mayor Gautam Shah and others used to walk to various localities in order to build party organization here. Shah said he feels regret that he is not able to give enough time to his constituency due to his responsibilities at national level. He added that 12 Councillors of this area are enough to do the tasks on his behalf. Shah said noone had imagined in the past that Ahmedabad would grow this much on western side. He pointed out that when the city expanded in western side, BJP was in power in municipal corporation and therefore West didn’t experience haphazard development like East(which developed during Congress era). He added that East could see good development matching to west during Narendrabhai’s rule. Shah also spoke about global environmental affairs and importance of trees in latter part of his speech.
