Gujarat CM to open Shahid Van in Jamnagar on Wednesday to mark Van Mahotsav

Gandhinagar:Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will dedicate a Shahid Van in memory of the martyrs of historic Narbanka battle on the 67th Van Mahotsav at Bhucharmori in Jamnagar district on Wednesday, August 24, 2016.
Mr. Rupani expressed his desire to pay his tributes to the martyrs every seventh lunar day in the Indian month of Shravan at Bhucharmori. The State Forest Department has planted 70,800 saplings over 10 hectares to create this Van.
Others likely to attend the event include Forest Minister Ganpat Vasava, Agriculture & Energy Minister Chimanbhai Shaparia and Minister of State for Forest Shabdasharan Tadvi.
