Countdown begins for SAUNI yojana function in presence of PM in Gujarat today

Rajkot: At least 50,000 to 60,000 people are expected to attend the SAUNI yojana function to be held in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Sanosara village in Jamnagar district near Rajkot.

The venue is located 11 kms away from Padadhari near Dedakdal village.

The event has been hosted by the Irrigation department of Government of Gujarat.

500 State Transport buses and 200 private buses are to be parked at the event.

Three waterproof domes are erected at the venue, each having seating capacity of 25,000 people. The main dome is fire, water and wind proof. It has been set up using German technology.

Around 50,000 chairs have been arranged at the venue.

From BJP side, the responsibility of mass mobilization to the event has been assigned to former MoS in centre and Rajkot Lok Sabha MP Mohan Kundariya and former MoS in state government and BJP leader Gordhan Zadafia.

Seating arrangements are made for 300 VVIPs. The main stage has 75 chairs.

There are two VIP gates and 17 general gates along with 9 emergency exits.

A 7 km road stretch has been built at inauguration venue.

A 20 by 30 ft temporary office has been set up for PM with pantry, washroom, AC and hotline facilities.

60,000 food packets are to be prepared. Each will cost Rs 70.

20,000 printed invitations are circulated.

State Police in-charge DGP P.P.Pandey, 11 Superintendents of Police(SPs) and others are looking at security arrangements locally in addition to SPG team from Delhi camping here.

The Prime Minister may arrive at Jamnagar airport in special plane from where he will arrive at Sanosara venue by helicopter. According to the details available, PM wiwll arrive at Jamnagar from Delhi at 8.30 am. At around 11.05 am he will arrive at helipad near Aaji-3 and will open 3 gates by operating a switch. He will then leave for the stage venue and address the people between 11.30 and 12.45. He will leave for Delhi after that.

Four helipads are built for landing of helicopters.

The Prime Minister will open the gates number 2-3-4 by switch and water will flow from Aaji-3 to Aaji-4 dam. Another flow will go to Und-1 dam by pumping. Narmada water from Machhu-2 dam has traveled to Bangavadi, Khodapipar and Demi-1 dams after which the flow of water reaches Aaji-3 where daily 539 cusec water will be filled and water will be further released by opening the gates in 9 inch measurement. There are ten pumps at pumping station near Aaji-3 site. 8 will be functional while 2 are spare ones.
