SAUNI: PM Narendra Modi’s alertness saved lives of cameramen/photographers
August 30, 2016
Sanosara (Jamnagar): The alertness of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the dedication of ambitious SAUNI project at Aaji 3 dam near here today saved the lives of several cameramen and photographers, Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat Nitin Patel informed.
Mr Patel said that the PM after pushing the button to start the flow of water from the dam was looking at it.
‘While doing so he suddenly noticed that several cameramen and photographers were standing on the downstream side. The strong flow of water released a little while ago was racing towards them and could have washed them away. The cameramen and photographers busy taking photographs of the event were seemingly unaware of it. But the PM by clapping his hand and with other gesture alerted them and they ran away in time,’ the deputy CM said.
He said that had the PM not alerted them in time a big mishap on this pious occasion could have happened.
The Deputy CM also lauded Mr Modi for his concern for the commoners amid a mega event.
