Ahmedabad Crime Branch nabs 3 dreaded dacoits of Chambal

Ahmedabad: The Crime Branch of Ahmedabad police has nabbed three dreaded dacoits of Chambal area of neighbouring Madhya Pradesh on whose heads the state government (MP govt.) had also put a cash reward.

PSI crime branch, B H Korot today said that the three dacoits, residents of Kakahra village under Megaon taluka of Bhind district in MP were professional dacotis of a gang of Chambalghati in MP and were involved in many criminal incidents including murder and attack on police.

They had fled from MP since the murder of a member of their rival gang to avenge the killing of the leader of their own gang in 2008. They were living in hiding in Ahmedabad and Surat since then.

The PSI said that they had terrorized the locals in Bhind in such a manner that police had failed to get verified their photos from the villagers.

They have been identified asJor Singh alias Maan Singh (42), Yogendra alias Devendra Singh (32) and Chatur Singh alias Bambu Ramdas Kushwaha (45).

On the basis of a tip off the trio was nabbed from Odhav and Bapunagar areas of the city. They will now be handed over to MP police. The MP government had kept a cash reward of Rs 10000 each on their heads.
