Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will host Twitter town hall on 23rd September. With this Rupani will most probably become first Chief Minister in India to host Twitter town hall.

Rupani today through his twitter handle made this announcement. He tweeted: Happy to announce that I am hosting a Twitter town hall on 23rd September. Tweet your questions to me using #AskVijayRupani

Typically in twitter town hall, anyone having twitter account can ask a question to one hosting twitter town hall by mentioning question and prescribed hashtag in same tweet.

Through a hashtag, the host of the town hall recognize a question and replies it during live show which is telecast in video.

As duration of twitter town hall session obviously is limited to one or two hours, only few questions get chance to receive reply. It depends on how long replies the host delivers.

Generally there’s a big TV screen on which tweets selected for reply are flashed. One who is hosting the town hall replies which is telecast live online and on TV.

Rupani is new Chief Minister and he has less than 50,000 followers on Twitter. This event will avail him opportunity to get more genuine twitter followers. It will also give him an image of techno-savvy leader.
