Gujarat CM attends Mukta Jivan Swami Bapa Smriti Mandir Silver Jubilee function

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today reiterated his commitment to provide a strong, able, corruption-free transparent government with the blessings of religious heads and organizations like Swaminarayan Sansthan.

Speaking at the silver jubilee function of Mukta Jivan Swami Bapa Smriti Mandir run by Maninagar-based Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan, he said that Swami Vivekanand’s efforts to apprise the world about the high spiritual traditions and saintly practices of Hindu philosophy is now being ably carried forward by several organizations like Swaminarayan sect.

 

He said the society has untold faith on the spiritual heads doing a difficult job of building saintly orders and guiding the people on righteous path. The seers are symbol of love, compassion and kindness, having devoted their life to the service of the society, free people from social evils and addictions and even rising to the occasion at times of natural calamities.

The Chief Minister paid his tributes at the Samadhi of Swaminarayan and Swamibapa. He felicitated ‘Sur Samrat Padma Vibhushan Pandit Jasraj with the title of ‘Sur Tapasvi’ and cash award.

 

Sant Purushottam Priyadasji said that Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s preaching are as relevant today as they were during his times. He wished the path shown by Bhagwan Swaminarayan continue to guide the mankind.

Swaminarayan Gadi Shikshan Samiti presented a cheque of Rs.1.50-crore to the Chief Minister for development in the field of education.

 

 

Prominent among those present on the occasion included Minister of State for Home Pradeepsinh Jadeja, Deputy High Commissioner Geoff Wain, among others.
