Rs 2.07 cut in PNG price for Ceramic Industry in Gujarat effective now

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has taken a decision to reduce the price of Piped Natural Gas(PNG) for ceramic industry supplied by Gujarat Gas by Rs 2.07 per unit with effect from 27 September.
The Chief Minister had made related announcement at Morbi during the Independence Day function, and it was implemented there. Later ceramic units in Surendranagar and Thangadh also demanded similar benifit. Reacting positively Rupani has announced same benifit for Surendranagar and Thangadh based units from 27 September.
With this the price of PNG per standard cubic meter will be Rs 31.86 instead of Rs 33.93 at present. Rs 2.07 reduction comes to 7.1%. As many as 746 units of Morbi-Wankaner and 162 units of Thangadh-Surendranagar will get benifits worth Rs 150 crore due to this decision.
