Gujarat CM to launch ‘60 minutes of Cleanliness’ at Porbandar tomorrow

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will participate in Sarva Dharma Prarthana Sabha to mark Father of the Nation and Mahatma Gandhi’s 148th birthday at his birthplace at Kirti Mandir at Porbandar at 7.30 a.m. on Sunday, October 2, 2016.
He will next launch ‘Swachchata-ni 60-Minitue’, meaning ‘60 Minutes of Cleanliness’ mass campaign, as part of ‘Swachch Bharat Mission’, alongside Social Equanimity Week. He will also lay the foundation stone or inaugurate various capital works for Porbandar totaling Rs.46.78-crore.
The Chief Minister present Cleanliness Awards to two best municipal corporations, five municipalities, three districts and five talukas, and felicitate 33 sarpanchs on the occasion.
Union Ministers, Gujarat’s Water Supply Minister Babubhai Bokhiria, Porbandar’s In-charge Minister and Rural Development Minister Jayantibhai Kavadia are also scheduled to attend these functions.
