Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit delegation to visit Kuwait

Dubai:A high-level Gujarat Government delegation, will visit Kuwait next week to promote the “Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2017” and seek active participation from the country.
“Our delegation’s objective is to strengthen relationship between the Gulf countries and India. With some important projects lined up, Kuwait’s expertise in areas like Oil and Gas, Infrastructure, Education and Tourism to name a few will play a significant role,” said Rajiv Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary to the Government of Gujarat and Managing Director, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd. (GNFC) who is leading the delegation.
The 16-member business delegation from Gujarat will comprise representatives from reputed Indian companies from various sectors in addition to representatives of Government of Gujarat and Indian Chambers.
The members will explore trade and investment opportunities in Kuwait, including collaborations and tie-ups with businesses and enterprises of Kuwait. They will meet with various executives of companies, financial institutions, members of industry chambers, government officials among others.
The visit, from October 9-10, is aimed at strengthening the economic and social ties between India and Kuwaitto promote Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2017.
Earlier, the delegation had visited Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
With the theme of “Gujarat – Connecting India to World”, the meetings will feature various activities involving leading companies, industry associations and government officials, strengthening the cause of development and promote cooperation between Kuwait and the State of Gujarat.
The Embassy in association with the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) is organising a meeting during which there will be interaction with the members of KCCI to brief them about the investment opportunities in Gujarat. PTI
