Gandhinagar: Gujarat government today gave back the police uniform and thus extended deserved respect to encounter case accused former DySP Tarun Barot.

Barot has been appointed DySP for one year in Vadodara area of Western Railways on one year’s contract.

Barot retired two years ago.

Knwown as honest, brave and skillful cop, DySP Tarun Barot who killed Abdul Lateef and several other criminals as part of his duty and ensured peace, law and order in the state was trapped in alleged fake encounter case as part of what is largely perceived as political plot. He was arrested and later released on bail.

In another development, BR Chaubey who is accused in criminal Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case and out on bail has been inducted back to Gujarat Police and made DySP in State Reserve Police(SRP).
