Gujarat Police starts putting FIR copies online

Ahmedabad: As per the directives of Supreme Court of India, Gujarat Police has started putting First Information Report(FIR) of cases online.
As per the Supreme Court order, all FIRs barring some that involve sexual abuse cases related to women and child and some other sensitive matters will have to be put online within 24 hours. Police stations that are located in interior areas or those that are facing internet connectivity issues are allowed to put FIRs online within 72 hours period.
Following this directive, Gujarat Police has asked cops to upload FIR on E-GUJCOP within 24 hours.
FIRs are uploaded and can be viewed in PDF version through a link that is available at www.home.gujarat.gov.in and Gujarat Police website www.police.gujarat.gov.in or FIR.gujarat.gov.in.
