Rupani hints at Narmada water connectivity for Vadgam, Dhanera, Deesa, Palanpur

Deesa: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today announced government land allotment for local Kankrej desi cow breed conservation project in Banakantha district of North Gujarat. Rupani also shared details of government support to Banas dairy’s value addition product initiatives.

In his speech at Deesa today, Chief Minister Rupani said: in upcoming days, Banas dairy is going to invest Rs 400 crore through NABARD. Gujarat government will extend 7.5% interest aid worth Rs 30 crore per year for five years period totaling Rs 150 crore as benefit to Banaskantha farmers for value addition push.

Rupani said government has made provision of Rs 26 crore and stood by Banas dairy for honey production.

He said MoU for land allotment to Kankrej-Thara cow breed conservation project is happening today.

Rupani said the government will take appropriate decision for Narmada water supply to Vadgam, Dhanera, Deesa, Palanpur in upcoming budget.

Rupani said the government has felicitated 2900 check dams and deepening of 760 talavs in Banaskantha district.

He said Banaskantha will become Gujarat’s most prosperous district and added that the district is number one on drip irrigation, potato cultivation, pomegranate cultivation. Rupani said its former Chief Minister Modi’s vision, efforts and hard work that Narmada water reached in talukas of this arid district and turned it into green. Rupani described today’s dy as golden day for Banaskantha district.
