Amit Shah to chair BJP’s chintan shibir, attend Pushti Mahotsav in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: BJP President Amit Shah will be in Gujarat for a three-day visit starting tomorrow and hold crucial meetings with ministers and key party leaders in the state, where election is slated in second half of 2017.

Shah will chair Gujarat BJP’s ‘chintan shibir’ (brainstorming session) on December 18-19 in Gandhinagar, where he will provide crucial guidance to state leaders regarding the upcoming polls.

“Amitji will land here tomorrow evening to attend ‘Pushti Panchamrut Mahotsav’, an event of Vaishnav sect. On December 18 and 19, he will chair party’s ‘chintan shibir’, where deliberations would mainly revolve around BJP’s strategy for the upcoming Assembly polls,” said party state media convener Harshad Patel.

“This shibir will be attended by around 30 leaders, including ministers and key party strategists,” he said.

BJP is in power in Gujarat, the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and also Shah, for over two decades now.
