9 including 3 of a family from Mumbai dead, 12 injured in two mishaps in Gujarat

Jamnagar/Valsad: At least 9 people died while 12 others injured in two road mishaps in Gujarat today of which one in Jamnagar district caused by head on collision between an ST bus and a car claimed at least 6 lives, police said.
The speeding bus going to Gondal from Kalawad collided head-on with a car coming from the opposite direction near Sarvaniya village on Kalavad-Junagadh road. Six people sitting in the car died on the spot while 10 passengers of the bus also sustained injuries and were admitted to hospital. All the six deceased were residents of Rajkot.
In yet another accident in Valsad district three persons of family from Mumbai including a woman died. Mumbai resident Kalpesh L Furiya (42) with his wife Mitalben (37) and 10 year old son Arpit was going to Kutch in his car when the speeding vehicle suddenly hit the divider of the road near Dungari village. Furiya and his son died on the spot while his wife succumbed in the hospital.
