ITC Narmada hotel in Ahmdedabad: Foundation stone to be laid this Sunday

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will lay foundation stone of upcoming five-star hotel ITC Narmada in Satellite/Vastrapur area of Ahmedabad on January 8.

ITC had purchased land for this hotel project way back before years but work for this project was keep delaying.

Finally the works for this grand hotel project are going to start this Sunday.

It is learnt that the hotel project just behind Keshav Baug party plot will be spread over 2.5 acres and will be completed by December 2020.

According to ITC Group, the hotel will comprise of 307 guest rooms & suites. Presenting lavish accommodation, the hotel will feature a range of facilities to meet needs – from state-of-the-art meeting, banquet and conference spaces to exceptional repertoire of culinary excellence.

Currently, the brand owns Welcome Hotel in Vadodara, which was the first ever five star hotel to have opened in Gujarat in 1987.

The company which is involved in interior design for the project describes it in these words: The ITC Narmada is truly an iconic hotel in the “Grand’ tradition with a classic contemporary style. The design reflects the locale and its cultural vernacular of the ancient villages that surround the city. Inspired by the Hindu Stepwell in the village of Adalaj, the stepping architecture of the walls and the decorative and intricate stone carvings provided a rich vein of patterns and textures. From public areas to guestrooms and suites, this unique heritage is subtly referenced to create a stunning hotel that is a landmark in the region.
