Ahmedabad – Rajkot highway to be made six-lane: Gujarat CM

Gandhiniagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today announced in a statement that Ahmedabad – Bamambor – Rajkot highway will be converted to six-lane at a cost of over Rs 3,448 crore including Rs 2,638 crore for construction and Rs 850 crore for contingency and land acquisition. The six-lane road will be 201 km in length covering Bagodara, Limbdi, Sayla, Bamanbor mainly. The Chief Minister said, expansion of this highway will save time and fuel. He added that Gujarat Road Development Corporation will earn toll tax revenue through this Build-Operate-Transfer(BOT) model project which has been approved by the Central Government.
