2 more cheating case against Sadhvi Jay Shri Giri in Ahmedabad; co-accused in gold cheating case arrested

Palanpur/Junagadh/Ahmedabad: Two more cases of cheating were lodged today against the controversial Sadhvi Jay Shri Giri in Ahmedabad today while one of her aide and co-accused in Rs 5 crore gold cheating case was arrested in Palanpur.

On the other hand Sadhivi Giri, the Mahant of Mukteshwar math Shiv temple, also an accused in the murder case of her predecessor Sajnay Giri in 2008, has been removed from the management of famous Bhavnath temple of Junagadh.

A case regarding cheating of an amount of over Rs one crore in the name of a housing scheme was lodged by Naval Giri and Chetan Panchal against her in Shahibag police station while that pertaining to not returning Rs 25 lakh and a car of an acquaintance Basant Panchal was lodged in Nikol police station.

Meanwhile, her aide Chirag Rawal, a co-accused in Rs 5 crore gold cheating case lodged in Paschim police station of Palanpur city was also nabbed by Local Crime Branch from his residence in Mansarovar area of the city. Police is trying to nab he third accused in the case Daksh parmar who is understood to be hiding in Ahmedabad.

Earlier the Panchdashnaam Juna Akhara had removed the controversial lady Mahant from the religious post of Mahamandaleshwar following her arrest in the Rs 5 crore gold cheating case and prohibition case and recovery of over 1.29 crore cash and 2.4 kg gold along with liquor from her residence in Palanpur city of Gujarat. A local jeweler had lodged the case against her, Rawal and Daksh alleging they had taken gold worth over Rs 5 crore from him and not paid for it.

Meanwhile BJP Sate President Jeetu Vaghani today told newsmen in Rajpipla that action as per law was being taken against the Sadhvi.
