Adhyashakti Majmudar to be new Mayor of Junagadh

Junagadh: Adhyashaktiben Majmudar was today elected as the new mayor of BJP ruled Junagadh Municipal Corporation in Gujarat.
She was elected as the New Mayor on the last day of the 2 and a half year term of the outgoing Mayor Jeetubhai Hirpara, who was elected for the post after the BJP’s spectacular win in the local body polls in Junagadh in 2014.
The formality of election of Adhyashaktiben, a female corporator, was completed today. During the meeting for the purpose apart from Municipal Commissioner and the incumbent Mayor, Deputy Mayor Girish Kotecha was also present.
The new mayor will have her term for the remaining 2 and a half years.
