Surat: At least two alleged activists of PAAS were arrested and over a dozen detained in Surat city of Gujarat today for unruly behaviour during a rally of BJP youth wing state president Rutvij Patel who held the ‘rented goons’ of Congress responsible for the incident.

During the rally of Patel which started with a large number of motorcycle’s and his open jeep from Sarthana area, a few eggs were thrown by unknown persons from a shopping complex in Nana Varachha area. Later when it was crossing from Yogi Chowk area, a man threw ink on him. He was immediately caught and handed over to the police by BJP youth wing activists chanting ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. Accused youth was wearing BJP workers like dress to hide his identity. Police has arrested a total of 2 people including him while detained over half a dozen others.

Rutvij who also belongs to Patidar community and hails from the hometown of PAAS convener Hardik Patel, Viramgam, later told media persons that the act was handiwork of rented goons of Congress.

‘I am getting limitless love from the Patidar community and what has happened was done by the rented goons of Congress,’ he said.

To a query about the earlier incident of ruckus in this Patidar dominant area during a party function in presence of BJP president Amit Shah, the BJYM leader said that the rented goons’ only consideration is money and for it they can do anything.
