Ahmedabad – Mumbai bullet train project: JICA team visits Vadodara

Vadodara: A 35-member team of JICA visited Vadodara on Thursday in connection with proposed Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train project. The team members took photographs of the railway station, matched the details with maps and sought details from railway officials. They visited RRI(Route Railway Inter Locking) and sought details of power signal, relay room, control panel, signal system. They also visited railway bridge on Mahisagar river near Fajalpur. They visited loco shade too. A 35 member team was divided into two. While one team focused on electrical issues, the other team had mechanical wing experts. The team spent one and half hour at Vadodara railway station and especially showed interest in getting details of platform number 6 here. It is believed that the bullet train once in operation will pass at this particular platform.
