Surat: Surat Municipal Corporation(SMC) will give a pair of dustbins as reward for those who pay advance tax. A pair of dustbin will include one dustbin for dry waste and another for kitchen waste. SMC intends to give boost to segregation of waste for which dual dustbins are to be introduced. SMC has made provision of Rs 20 crore expenditure for this purpose in its budget. The SMC has also proposed to give waste converter to residential societies that are smaller than 5,000 square meter in size. Such converters convert organic waste into fertilizer.
