Railway Minister in Surat dedicates/launches works for various Gujarat projects of railway

Surat: Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu is in Surat today to dedicate Routine Overhauling Depot for wagons at Gandhidham in Kutch and Locomotive Simulator at Sabarmati in Ahmedabad.
The Railway Minister is also going to launch works for Dhasa-Jetalsar gauge conversion project, 35 railway under bridges(ROBs) across Gujarat and infrastructural facilities for overhauling of BCNHL wagons a Pratapnagar(Vadodara) based factory. Railway Minister is also scheduled to launch ‘Disha’ application of Indian Railways.
Prabhu said the tender for multi-model transportation hub(MMTH) in Surat(reconstruction of Surat railway station) will be issued on February 15. He said Gujarat was a neglected state during the Congress rule. The state was allocated only Rs 588 crore during Congress rule in Centre between 2009-2014. He added that BJP government in centre has allocated Rs 13,025 crore for various railway projects in Gujarat.
Prabhu also participated in Digi Dhan Mela in city along with MoS in centre Parshottam Rupala.
