Ahmedabad: A mega job fair was organized today jointly by district administrations of Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Sabarkantha and Arvalli. More than 300 companies participated in this mega job fair where primary selection of over 10,000 candidates took place while 1,100 were selected as apprentice.

Companies like Tech-Mahindra, Ford, Maruti, Yureca Forbes, Arvind Mills, Zydus Cadila, Anup Industries etc selected the candidates in large number.

According to minister Vallabhbhai Kakadia who inaugurated this job fair, Gujarat is number one among all the states when it comes to giving jobs. The state government has today organized job fairs at various places across 33 districts. Kakadia asked candidates to gain such a skill that they don’t need to go in search of job but jobs would search them. He said candidates should not consider any job as small. First job is first step only, he added.
