Don’t permit rallies in Sanand taluka: 35 village sarpanchs to district collector

Ahmedabad: Close to three dozen Sarpanchs of villages in Sanand taluka of Ahmedabad district have demanded that permission must be denied to any rally or gathering in Sanand taluka. The Sarpanchs submitted memorandum to district collector in connection with trouble maker anti-govt agitator Alpesh Thakor led outfit’s proposed march against Tata Motors plant in Sanand seeking 85% employment for locals. Sarpanchs like one from Rampura gram, another from Tajpur gram among others said they were in favor of industrial plants in Sanand that have boomed local development, increased land prices and given jobs. Alpesh Thakor who travels in Jaguar car has political aspirations to fight the assembly election later this year. Recently fake messages of job recruitment at car manufacturing plants such as Maruti and Tata Motors were in circulation on whatsapp and other social media platforms. Hundreds of youths had gathered at car manufacturing plant of Maruti believing the messages were true and recruitment was going on. Role of same outfit is not denied in circulating such messages.
Meanwhile close to 100 supporters of Alpesh Thakor left his organization and made allegations against Thakor.
