Rs 1645 crore development works to be dedicated/launched in Ahmedabad to mark Gujarat Gaurav Divas

Ahmedabad: State level function of 57th Gujarat Gaurav Divas (foundation day of Gujarat State) will be held in Ahmedabad this year with inauguration of Rs 740 crore development projects and launch of works for Rs 905 crore development works( in total 114 works worth Rs 1645 crore) in Ahmedabad city and district.

Sharing the details, guardian minister for Ahmedabad district Shri Shankarbhai Chaudhary today said here that the celebrations will kick off on 14th April and the main function will be held at GMDC ground on 1st May.

On 30th April, Chief Minister will inaugurate ARTO office at Bavla and ST depot, 1700 housing units by AUDA at Kathwada, 1200 housing units at Nikol and will also perform ground breaking for New FHW school and Shahibaug police headquarters office.

On 1st May, inauguration of OPD block at Sola civil hospital, new office building at Vastrapur, district state library, book fair at GMDC convention hall, affordable housing units at Balolnagar and Chandkheda and new annexe building at Shahibaug will be inaugurated.

Taluka government offices, roads, bridges will be decorated with lights. A march past by Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Anand police, Chetak commando, SRP, city Traffic police will hold march past at Sabaramti riverfront west from Vallabhsadan to Gandhi ashram involving police band and 30 parade platoons. More than 10 cultural dance groups, NSS, police horses will also be part of this parade.

The main function of Gujarat day will be held at GMDC ground during 6.30 – 8.30 pm with cultural performances. LED kite flying, night marathon, laser show, aatashbaji etc will take place at Vallabh Sadan based Sabarmati riverfront west.

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC) will hold wall painting, rock band, food festival etc events.Youth convention and youth job fair will be held at Viramgam. Photography competition, decoration at taluka/district/civic level will also take place on this occasion.

More than 25 voluntary organizations are going to take part in this celebration. Andhajan Mandal, Indian Red Cross, Vepari Mahamandal, Lions Club, CREDAI, industrial association etc will hold blood donation camps, medical camps, cleanliness drives, women empowerment programmes etc.

14 April will be marked as Samrasta divas, 15 April seva setu divas, 16 April women empowerment day, 17 April health day, 18 April tourism and heritage day, 19 April cooperative day, 20 April digital payment literacy day, 21 April samaj suraksha day, April environment and karuna day, 23 April agriculture and animal husbandry day, 24 April water and energy conservation day, 25 April revenue day, 26 April education day, 27 April safety day, 28 April legal advisory day, consumer awareness day and traffic awareness day and 29 April cleanliness day.
