BSF finds abandoned Pakistani boat in Haraminala in Gujarat
April 22, 2017
Bhuj: An abandoned Pakistani boat was today found in Haraminala, a channel in marshy creek area adjoining Arabian sea, close to Indo-Pak border in Kutch district of Gujarat.
A patrol party of the Border Security Force (BSF) found the boat near border post number 1162.
A BSF official said that the small wooden fishing boat fitted with single engine was found at a distance of around one km inside the Indian territory from BP 1162 today.
Some fishing equipment were found in it. It seems that the fishermen in the boat had fled and crossed in to Pakistani territory from the border close-by.
The BSF and other security agencies were conducting a precautionary search operation in the area.
The finding of such boats in the area, rich in fishes and other sea food items, was not an unusual affair.
