Gandhinagar: Gujarat government today said that it had no dearth of grass and fodder for cattle and water for people.

After the meeting of a committee which reviews the situation of water and fodder availability/scarcity in various districts, its head and senior cabinet minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama told newsmen here that there was adequate stock of grass and fodder in the state. There was also arrangement in place to bring more of it if the need arise.

‘The water availability was also fine,’ he said.

‘The committee take decisions and makes announcement based on the reports received from the district collectors but today we had not received any new demand regarding grass, fodder or water,’ he said.

Notably the committee announces the names of villages to be included in the list of scarcity or partially scarcity hit.
