Gujarat ATS gets 90 more days for filing charge-sheet against ISIS operative brothers
May 23, 2017
Rajkot: Putting the SPG security protocols aside, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today stopped his convoy and shifted it to the side lane on Gandhinagar – Ahmedabad road in order to allow an ambulance to go ahead in priority.
After completing the African Development Bank function and other engagements in Gandhinagar, the Prime Minister was already running behind the schedule. His convoy was passing through the roads when he spotted an ambulance. In order to give priority to ambulance which was probably carrying a patient, the Prime Minister directed his staff to shift the entire convoy to the side lane and stop. The ambulance was given priority to move ahead.
In a historic decision, the Prime Minister had recently taken a decision to remove red beacon lights from all VIP vehicles across the country in order to say good-bye to VIP culture. In April this year, Prime Minister went to the airport in peak traffic to receive his Bangladesh counterpart Sheikh Hasina, setting aside protocol of traffic restrictions. He traveled from Lok Kalyan Marg to Delhi airport in normal traffic.
