Gandhinagar:Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has declared the result of Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) on the official website of the board gseb.org in which of the total around 1.32 lakh examines cum aspirants of admission in various Engineering/Pharmacy colleges in the state, over 1300 have got above 99 percentile.

Of the total 1,34,186 students who had registered for the GUJCET 2017 , 1,32,391 including 48521 girls appeared for the exam held on May 10 for admissions to various engineering and pharmacy courses in government and private colleges of Gujarat.

665 candidates of the Group A and 662 candidates of the group B have secured a percentile rank above 99. Group A had a little over 66 thousand aspirants including over 11400 girls while Group B had over 65 thousand students including around 36900 girls.

. Students will be admitted in engineering and pharmacy courses on merit list with 60 per cent weight given to marks scored in four semesters and 40 per cent to GUJCET percentile. The number of those with above 98 percentile in group A and B respectively was1340 and 1312 respectively.

The result was uploaded on the Gujarat board site in the wee hours (3 am) today almost five hours before the earlier announced timing of 8 am. Its hard copy could be obtained from the 34 centers made in various districts for the purpose.
