68.24% result for GSEB class X, better than last year, Surat best performer

Gandhinagar: 68.24% students have passed class X exam conducted by Gujarat Secondary And Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) in March this year.
The result declared today were better by over one percent than that of last year (67.06%).
Girl students with 73.33% have fared better than boys (64.69%) this year also.
Of the total registered 779629 students, 775013 had appeared in the exam conducted between March 15 to 25. Of them 5,28,870 are successful while 2,46,143 have been unsuccessful.
Of these 3750 have got A 1 Grade while 24454 have got A 2 Grade.
Surat with maximum 79.27% was the best performing district while Narmada was at the bottom with the least 46.90%. The best performing center with 97.47% was Rupavati in Rajkot while the worst performing center with mere 10.50% was Lambadia in Sabarkantha district in North Gujarat. Among other places Ahmedabad city has 71.52%, Ahmedabad rural 70.13%, Junagadh 75.68%, Jamnagar 67.78% Rajkot 74.24%, Vadodara 66.32%, Mahesana 67.18%, Bharuch 69.91%, Kutch 68.16% and Bhavnagar has 65.03% result.
A total of 451 schools has got 100% results.
Gujarati medium has 65.93%, Hindi has 73.11 and English medium has the best 97.72% results.
