GSEB class 12 general stream results slightly better than last year at 56.82%

Gandhinagar: Overall 56.82% students have passed class 12 general stream exam conducted by Gujarat Secondary And Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) in March this year.

This is almost one percent better than last year’s overall result of 55.85%.

Out of total 414639 regular and repeated students who appeared in exam, 2,63165 have bee successful while 1,51474 are unsuccessful.

Of the around 4.95 lakh students who appeared in the exam, girls with 70.88% have out-performed boys (47.28%) leaving them way behind.

Surat has once again emerged as the best performing district with highest pass percentage of 73.85 while Chhota Udepur with merely 30.81% was the worst performer this year. Among other places Ahmedabad city has 65.72%, Ahmedabad rural (61.21), Kutch (65.71), Jamanagar, (66.58), Junagadh (51.27), Banaskantha (62.35), Mahesana (57.27) Bharuch (59.21), Vadodara (57.54), Gandhinagar (57.65), Rajkot (64.61) and Bhavnagar has 55.59% result.

Ellisbridge in Ahmedabad with 100% results has maintained its position as the best center across the state while Bhikhapura in central Gujarat with only 10.07% was at the bottom among total 496 centers in this regard.

Separately considering, the general stream has 56.78% result while Commerce and Sanskrit has 62.62% and 60.10% respectively.

Gujarati medium students have a pass percentage of 55.42 while that of Hindi and English medium was 67.13% and 74.20% respectively.

A total of 257 students have passed with A1 grade while 7055 have secured A 2 grade, both the numbers were higher than that of last year.

The results have been put on the official website of the board which is gseb.org.

Notably the results of the science stream of GSEB conducted class 12 exam were declared on May 11 in which 81.89% of the examines had passed.
The results for the class X exam of the board were declared yesterday in which 68.24% students have passed.
