New Delhi:The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi will be visiting Gujarat from June 29, 2017 to June 30, 2017.

In a series of tweets from his twitter account Prime Minister said:

“Will be in Gujarat for a two day visit starting tomorrow. I will join programmes in Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Modasa and Gandhinagar.

My first two programmes will be in Sabarmati Ashram. I am looking forward to taking part in the centenary celebrations of Sabarmati Ashram.

The 2nd programme at Sabarmati Ashram is a programme to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Shrimad Rajchandraji, a Guru to Mahatma Gandhi.

I will then travel to Rajkot, where I will join the Samajik Adhikarita Shivir and interact with my Divyang sisters and brothers.

I shall attend a programme at the Aji Dam, where there will be irrigation & water related initiatives that will be dedicated to the nation.

On 30th morning, there would be the dedication of water supply schemes based on Vatrak, Mazum and Meswo Dams at Modasa.

Government of India is undertaking several initiatives to support the textiles sector, which is a source of employment for several Indians.

11.20 am: Visit to Sabarmati Ashram, release postal stamp on 100 years of the Ashram, releaes of Rs 10 and Rs 150 coins featuring Shrimad Rajchandra, will present digital version of Gandhi papers from National archive to Sabarmati Ashram

1.00 pm: Lunch break at Circuit House annexe

4.00 pm: Arrival at Rajkot airport; distribution of assistive kits to disabled people at Race Course ground

5.30 pm: Visit to Aaji dam to dedicate SAUNI scheme work; public meeting

7 to 8 pm: Road show from Aaji dam to Rajkot airport

8 pm: Departure for Ahmedabad

9 pm onwards: Arrival at Ahmedabad airport; dinner, night stay at Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar

30th June

10.30 am: Arrival at Modasa (Arvalli district): inauguration of irrigation scheme

12.30 pm: Arrival at Gandhinagar; lunch at Raj Bhavan

2.00 pm: Visit to Textile exhibition at Helipad ground

2.30 pm: Attends Textile India – 2017 at Mahatma Mandir

4.15 pm: Leaves for Ahmedabad for Youth interaction at Transtadia stadium in Kankaria area
