Gandhinagar: Only two MLA’s of congress apart from Shankersinh Vaghela himself attended his Sam Samvedana Sammelan organized at town hall here on the occasion of his birthday today during which he announced to quit the party.

Media Coordinator of Vaghela, Nikhil Desai said that MLA from Jamnagar Raghavji Patel and Vaghela’s MLA son from Bayad in Aravalli district Mahendrasinh Vaghela attended the meeting despite party’s said ban on it.

So in all 3 MLA’s of the total 57 MLA’s participated in the meeting.

However several other party post holders and elected representatives of local bodies were there in the meeting.

Desai said that Vaghela had himself discouraged his supporter MLA’s to attend the function.

He claimed that his leader had a meeting with 20 odd Congress MLA’s before the meeting.

Two MLAs from Nationalist Congress party, Kandhal Jadeja and Jayant Patel also attended the meeting.
