RSS cadres active in 125 flood-hit villages, distribute 60,000 food packets, more relief actions planned

Ahmedabad: Rashtriay Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS) today said its cadres are active in 125 villages of flood-hit Banaskantha, Patan and Radhanpur areas of North Gujarat where thanks to the efforts of Swayamsevaks, the local people were alerted for flood well in advance and shifted to safer places.

These details were shared by Sh Karyavah Shaileshbhai Patel.

Patel said, “Sangh made arrangement for 100 passengers who were stuck in Deesa bus-stand. Sangh cadres contacted the people in low lying areas of Deesa and shifted them to places like Hindu dharmshala, Jalaram mandir, Parkar bhavan and Thakkar samaj vaadi.”

He said, “as on yesterday, RSS has distributed 60,000 food packets and drinking water. Another 1.5 lakh food packets and drinking water are being distributed. As many as 500 RSS swayam sevaks are involved in this work.”

RSS has planned to supply food material kits to flood-affected people that can last five-days.

RSS will collect relief items from the people at 25 different places across Ahmedabad tomorrow(July 26) through Sevabharti Gujarat.
