Hardik, Dinesh to be produced in Patan court late this evening in loot/Dacoity case

Patan: Patidar Anamat Aandolan Samiti (PAAS) leader Hardik Patel and his close aide Dinesh Bambhaniya, who were arrested last night in connection with a case of dacoity and loot lodged by a PAAS leader against them and 9 others in B-division police station here will be produced in Chief Judicial Magistrate court here late this evening, police said.

Police said that attempts to nab some other accused were also being made.
‘Hardik and Dinesh will be produced before a court here late this evening. We will also seek remand of the accused duo,’ A PSI with the B-division police station said.

Notably Hardik and 10 of his supporters including his close aide Bambhaniya were booked under various charges including that of dacoity and loot on a complaint lodged by an aide of his own outfit (PAAS) and its onvener of Mahesana, Narendra Patel. Hardik and Dinesh were nabbed last night from Central Gujarat.

PI of B-division J B Pandit said that Narendra has in his complaint alleged that in the evening of August 26 his friend from Rajkot Dilip Savaliya was looted and beaten up by Hardik and his supporters near Hotel Navjivan close to Siddhpur chowk. In presence of Hardik, one of his supporters snatched Dilip’s chain and broke his mobile phone. Hardik, Dinesh Bambhaniya, Mahesh Patel, Sunil Patel, Brijesh Patel and Dhaval have been booked as named accused and 3 to four others unknown (whom the complainant does not know by name but can identify on seeing) under section 395 (Dacoity), 424 (Dishonest or fraudulent removal or concealment of property) 504 ( Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (2) (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.

Narendra Patel was a prominent figure of the Hardik led quota stir of PAAS two years ago.
