Over 6 lakh new voters added during last revision in Gujarat, total number up at 4,33,37,492

The total number of voters in poll bound Gujarat after the last revision of the electoral roll was 43337492 with an inclusion of over six lakh new entrants to the roll.
According to the official figures after the completion of the last revision process which went on for a month from July 1 to 31 this year, a total of 619294 new voters have been added in the electoral rolls.
The number of male, female and transgender (others) voters has increased to 22566269, 20770535 and 688 from pre July 1 figures of 22318758, 20398901 and 539 respectively. Thus the overall number of voters in the state has increased from 42718758 to 43337492. Those first time voters who had attained 18 years of age on January 1, 2017 have been included in the voters list.
The total number of polling booths across the state was 50128.
Notably, assembly polls in Gujarat is to be held this year. Thought the dates of the poll have not yet been announced it is understood that it will take place in November/December. The term of 13 th assembly ends in December this year.
