– Chief Electoral Officer of Gujarat B. B. Swain has called an all party meeting at Circuit house in Ahmedabad on September 29 in which six national parties are invited. Gujarat is going to witness general elections of assembly most likely in the month of December this year. Announcement of schedule and implementation of model code of conduct is likely by mid-October or around. A team from Election Commission of India may visit Gujarat before that.

– Ahmedabad based Radio Jockey Archan (RJ Archana) has filed domestic violence complaint against her husband Mohammad Arif Khan in Shahibaug Police Station of city.

– Due to non – availability of evening flight, Congress vice president is halting tonight in Rajkot. He is expected to meet local party leaders and others during his stay. He will be leaving Rajkot tomorrow morning.

– There has been another incident of bear attack on human in Gujarat. Contrary to earlier attacks that occurred in North Gujarat region forests, this one has happened in Chhota Udepur area. A forest department watchman in Kevdi beat is seriously injured in this incident.

– There has been an incident of breakdown in ONCG pipeline near Jagudan in Mahesana district. A big sound of breakdown was heard in large surrounding area.

– Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will be on another Gujarat visit, this time in Central Gujarat during 9-10-11 October. He will hold yatra in his same air conditioned luxury bus specially brought from Delhi for campaign.

– Union minister Piyush Goyal will address BJP press conference at Sports Club in Ahmedabad tomorrow afternoon along with State BJP incharge Bhupendra Yadav and State BJP president Jitu Vaghani.

– Gujarat Mahiti Aayog today launched a mobile application.

– Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will tomorrow attend concluding function of Khel Mahakumbh 2017 at Nadiad and distribute prizes to winning players.

– Congress vice president during his ongoing Saurashtra visit today visited Khodaldham temple of Leuva Patidars. He held a meeting with Khodaldham Trust’s Naresh Patel and Paresh Gajera in administrative office. Khodaldham is religious trust which has been aided by BJP government. It however tries to play political role during elections covertly. Though it positions itself as apolitical, Khodaldham Trust is quite leaning towards BJP at present.

– People started leaving Rahul Gandhi’s address midway in Jetpur town of Saurashtra region today. Rahul truncated his address in response. Rahul in his speech attacked union finance minister Arun Jaitley blaming him for destroying country’s economy which will cause tremendous damage to the country.

– As Nirmala Sitharama is busy with her new portfolio of Defense Ministry, the BJP has relieved her from responsibility of Gujarat election joint incharge of Saurasthra region. The same responsibility has now been handed over to former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand State Shri Nishank Pokharial.

– Vice President Venkaiah Naidu today dedicated/launched works for Rs 1243 crore pipeline projects in Mahesana.

– BJP president Amit Shah on Wednesday held series of meetings with party cadres and leaders in connection with upcoming Gujarat elections. Shah who is on three-day visit to Gujarat today held meetings with election publicity and campaign department, media department, manifesto committee, election management committee and other teams. He reviewed the works done so far and chalked out a road-map from now to assembly polls. He discussed upcoming programmes in detail. Party leaders Bhupendra Yadav, Bhikhubhai Dalsania, Anandiben Patel, Parshottam Rupala, IK Jadeja, Kaushi Patel among others were present at party headquarters.
