Ahmedabad: A team of 40 Indonesian Muslim artists are playing Ramayan ballet at city’s Deendayal Auditorium. Indonesia is Muslim majority country but the tradition of Ramayana is thanks to Hindu influence since 9th century. Speaking in this function, Indonesian consulate to India said, one can easily find a person whose initial name is Muslim but middle name is Hindu. Women would wear Hijan in public but they would remove it when playing a role in Ramayana play in Indonesia.
