PM Modi to address massive rally of over 7 lakh booth level workers of Gujarat BJP

PM Modi will be on his 4 th visit to poll bound home-state Gujarat in almost as many weeks, tomorrow to address a massive rally of over 7 lakh booth level workers of the ruling BJP in Bhat near capital Gandhinagar.

5 lakh square meter land near Bhaat village close to Ahmedabad – Gandhinagar highway is ready to host the rally. The main stage has pictures of proposed Ahmedabad – Mumbai bullet train, Statue of Unity and Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam. There are 26 entrance to the venue. Parking facility has been created for 15,000 big vehicles and 7,000 small vehicles. Sitting arrangement has been made for over 7 lakh. Four medical teams are deployed at the venue with over 50 doctors. 4 ambulances and 4 medical vans are deployed here. More than 50,000 ORS are to be kept here. The Prime Minister is expected to address the gathering at around 4.00 pm.

DyCM Nitin Patel said that the event, which would also be attended by Party President Amit Shah, was to mark the conclusion of the two Gujarat Gaurav Yatras of the party which had covered over 4,000 km in the state.

BJP spokesperson Bharat Pandya said that lakhs of party workers from all the over 50 thousand booths across the state would participate in the rally.

Meanwhile party sources said that PM Modi could make some important announcements during the event.

Around one km long sitting arrangement was being made for the event. BJP state general secretary K C Patel said that around 7 lakh page in-charges (in-charges of each of the page of an electoral roll for a booth) would participate in it.

Notably, tomorrow’s Gujarat visit would be in all his 8th one to his home-state this year and overall 18th since his taking over as PM. In his last visit on October 7 and 8 he had given a gift of sorts of developmental works of over Rs 12000 crore by inaugurating/laying foundation them. These included the foundation laying of Greenfield Rajkot Airport, Okha-Bet Dwarka cable bridge and Bhadbhut Narmada barrage. He had also visited his native village of Vadnagar on October 8 for the first time after taking over as PM. He had participated in an emotional road show there.

Pandya informed that PM Modi would again visit Gujarat on October 23 to inaugurate the Ghogha-Dahej Ro Ro Ferry service from Bhavnagar.

In the recent past he had visited Gujarat twice last month; first on September 13 and 14 to lay the foundation stone of bullet train with visiting Japanese PM Shinzo Abe and then on September 17 on his birthday to dedicated Sardar Sarovar Dam on river Narmada to the nation.

Assembly election in Gujarat is to be held in December, the dates of which were yet to be announced.
