Gandhinagar: BJP election committee meeting will be held between 21 – 26 October at Shantiniketan senior living in Adalaj near Gandhinagar. According to State party president Jitu Vaghani, the meeting will discuss reports prepared by party observers on selection of candidates. Party observers had earlier visited places to hear party workers as part of basic procedure of selection of candidates for upcoming general elections of Gujarat assembly.

Panel of three names, or in some cases 2 names and in some cases even single name will be prepared by Gujarat team and sent to the central election committee and parliamentary board of BJP in Delhi. BJP headquarters in Delhi will announce names of candidates at appropriate time.
