Bomb disposal squad, sniffer dogs conduct search operation at Ahmedabad Railway station

Police and bomb disposal squad with sniffer dogs today thoroughly searched Ahmedabad Railway station here after a caller informed the police control room here about having heard two people talking about blowing up platform number 1 by a bomb blast.
However the information proved wrong as no explosive or bomb was found during the search.
Police said that a caller informed the police control room at around 4pm this evening that he had heard two persons talking about blowing up the platform 1.
Police alerted the railway police immediately and the bomb disposal squad, sniffer dogs and a large contingent of police including GRP and RPF went in to action.
However after around 2 hours of thorough search on the station situated in Kalupur area of the city, no explosive or bomb was found.
Police was not trying to nab the caller.
