Rahul Gandhi conclude Gujarat campaign with a press conference on last day

Ahmedabad: Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi today addressed a highly guarded press conference in Ahmedabad in which media persons were invited selectively and at least two national channels Republic and Times Now were not given entry. Rahul spoke more or less same things that he has been repetatively saying in his speeches through last three months in Gujarat. Rahul didn’t reply the question on ‘Soft Hindutva’. He also didn’t speak about recent Pakistan related controversy when asked. Rahul asked State Congress president Bharatsinh Solanki to reply the question on Patidar reservation formula. Rahul took few questions in the press conference. Reporters who were to ask questions were named by party’s communication incharge Randeep Surjewala. The press conference was in style of press conference campaign, however Rahul was looking visibly out of content. After repetitive things that he has been saying during campaign, Rahul said goodbye to people of Gujarat saying: I am touched by love given by people of Gujarat here – lakhs of people here in last three months. I was offered Khakhra, Dhokla, Mungfali. I want to tell people of Gujarat that whenever I am needed, they need to just call me. Rahul in reply to question on his temple visits said he prayed for a golden future of Gujarat and its people, for better development here during his temple visits. Rahul said he had also visited Kedarnath temple in Uttarakhand and there was nothing new in his visits to temples in Gujarat. Rahul said the campaign in Gujarat was in yatra style and in the course of yatra, he visited temples. After the press conference, Rahul along with Ashok Gehlot and Bharatsinh Solanki went to Swati restaurant for having Gujarati food.
