Leopard reportedly injures 2 in North Gujarat village, crowd attack police

A leopard today reportedly injured two people in Sultanpur village of Vadnagar taluka in Mahesana district of North Gujarat.
A crowd later attacked the police team and injured three police personnel after it reached the spot on getting information about the incident.
A forest official said that the search for the beast to cage it was on.
‘Presence of leopard in this area was not usual. It reportedly attacked two people while they were working in the field. When we reached the village we saw a large crowd gathered there. We called the police but the crowd attacked it,’ he said.
Cages have been put in and around the area to nab the beast.
