Mahesana:
Police has registered a case against three people for allegedly obstructing the polling process on a booth in Bhesana in Mahesana district on December 14 during the second and final phase of Gujarat assembly elections.
PSI of Lagnaj police station C M Chudasama today said that a case under section 131 and 132 has been lodged against Rahim Khan, Bharat G Sinh and Mahesh Chaudhary on the complaint by Zonal officer.
They had obstructed the polling for over 4 hours on the booth alleging tampering in the EVM.
Chudasama said that the matter was still under investigation and more names might be included in the case.
Notably, some people had created ruckus at the booth alleging that on pushing all the buttons of the EVM there, the vote was going only to a particular party.
