Ahmedabad: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has seized 9.5 kg of Charas worth around Rs 1 crore in the city and nabbed three people including a woman in this connection.

Zonal Director of NCB Hari Om Gandhi today said that onthe basis of specific information yesterday a team of the bureau intercepted a lady named Tabbusum Rajjak (38) while she was delivering charas to Nasirrudin Shekh alias chacha (57),near Hotel Kinara , relief road.

‘Around 7 kg charas was seized from her . Nasirrudin was also caught. During interrogation the lady revealed that out of 7 kg charas , 2 kg was meant for another person Iqbal Hussain Mansuri (38) resident of Dholka , would be receiving it near APMC market Juhapura accordingly NCB team caught Iqbal Mansuri who was also carrying 2.5 kg charas . Total 9.5 kg charas was seized and the three person were arrested. Worth of seized charas is around 1 crore. Nasiruddin was dealing in charas in wholesale and Iqbal was also supplier to local peddler . The lady Tabbusum used to come frequently from Mumbai to Ahmedabad by bus with Charas,’ he informed.
