Gujarat CM inaugurates first flight service connecting Ahmedabad to Mundra

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani today inaugurated First Flight Service from Ahmedabad Airport connecting ‘Ahmedabad to Mundra’. Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi inaugurated the UDAN service (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) with a vision that a common man can even travel in flight, said Mr. Rupani.

State Government’s goal is that the citizens of the state get maximum benefit of this scheme. State Government has made efforts to raise regional connectivity.

It is worth to mention that, Air Odisha has launched this service under UDAN scheme of Government of India. Air Odisha is a joint venture of Gujarat State Export Corporation Limited (GSEC), Monark group and Air Deccan.

Mr. Rupani said that, Air travel is always a dream of common man. It is the goal of Central Government that a common citizen of the country can travel in flight at cheap rates. A three-way agreement has been signed for Regional Connectivity Scheme between GoG, Civil Aviation Ministry and Airport Authority of India. Gujarat is also one of the state to sign such agreement. 19 States and 3 Union Territories of the country are benefiting through Regional Connectivity Scheme- UDAN.

Mentioning about the service stated today Between Ahmedabad and Mundra Mr. Rupani said that, this service among the cities of Gujarat will also benefit the common man. It is a campaign to connect 400 airports of the country under the UDAN scheme. Wherein 10 airport of Gujarat are included and the citizens of Gujarat will get the maximum benefit of this scheme.

Founder Captain of Air Deccan Mr. G. R. Gopinath said that, Indian government’s UDAN service will provide regional air service to the citizens of the country at a very low rate. Through this scheme initiated by Mr. Modi will make dream come true of a common man, he added.

On the occasion Minister of State for Civil Aviation Mr. Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, MD of Air Odisha Mr. Shaishav Shah, Mr. Karan Adani and Principal Secretary Mr. S. J. Haider were remained present.
